Florida House & Senate Approve PTSD Legislation for First Responders2018-03-07T20:28:21-05:00

On March 5, 2018, the Florida House of Representatives voted unanimously to pass Florida Senate Bill SB 376. This bill would extend workers’ compensation benefits to first responders being treated for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

The bill will now move to the desk of Governor Rick Scott for his signature. If the governor signs the bill, the law will go into effect on October 1, 2018.
