The last month has lead to unprecedented situations for many businesses, including Johns Eastern. In early March with a global pandemic beginning to take shape, we took proactive steps and activated our Business Continuity Plan. This allowed us to implement operational changes to maintain essential services for our clients, while ensuring our employees are safe and healthy.

Along with enhanced sanitation measures and social distancing practices in our offices, we have also instituted the following operational changes:

Limited Travel
While all nonessential travel has been halted, Johns Eastern is a part of the financial services industry and is considered an essential business. Our field adjusters continue to travel as required to service our clients.

Telecommuting
We are fortunate that technology allows us to continue to offer our team members all of the services necessary to complete their daily tasks. Our infrastructure and business continuity planning allows us to follow national and local guidance on social distancing and remote working arrangements.

Team Communication
We are keeping the channels with our team members open so they receive timely and informative updates on company plans and expectations. And as always, our management team stands ready to respond to questions from our employees and clients.

Crosstraining
We continue to be in awe of our dedicated employees, many of whom are crosstraining on tasks previously performed by colleagues. Their willingness to do what it takes to help us all get through this pandemic is truly inspiring.

Business Partners
We are proactively communicating with our business partners to confirm the availability of the essential services required by our clients and their injured employees.

While we look forward to the day when our business operations return to normal, we are thankful for the dedication and flexibility of our team members as they continue to perform their essential duties. We will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation closely and are following the recommendations of federal, state & local governments and health authorities.
